We are a progressive, family-run 500-cow dairy farm in North Shropshire looking for an experienced and motivated Herdsperson to join our team.
This is a hands-on role within a modern, well-invested unit, ideal for someone with good dairy experience who takes pride in stockmanship and wants to develop further.
The Farm
• 500-cow herd
• 60:60 Fullwood herringbone parlour
• ADF, segregation gate & modern tech
• Uniform Agri, Crystal & CowManager systems
• Modern cubicle housing
Your Role
• Milking and daily herd routines
• Monitoring cow health
• Assisting with fertility & heat detection
• Supporting youngstock and calf rearing
• Maintaining milk quality & hygiene standards
• Assisting with fencing and grassland management
• General farm and herd tasks
• Operating machinery (training available)
About You
• Dairy experience essential
• Good stockmanship & attention to detail
• Positive, reliable and hard-working
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Machinery experience beneficial
